Summary


- Devised, assembled, soldered, and tested FPV racing drones incorporating analog/digital video transmitter, DC brushless motors, ACCESS receiver and external video recording functionalities.
- Designed and 3D-printed a mechanical structure to support antennas on the drone.
- Designed a fixture to attach DJI Osmo Action Camera.

A freestype FPV drone is designed, soldered, assembled, and tested. The flight controller has integrated ESCs and is powered with a 4S 20C LiPo battery.

A camera fixture is designed for a customized OSMO Action Camera.

The Action Camera can be slotted in with a tilted piece holding the camera horizontally.

A customized antenna module is designed so that the lollipop antenna can be always hanging out of the drone for maximum transmission quality. Although this drone is equipped with a analog video transmission system, it is capable of digital video transmission upgrades.

The antenna module to support lollipop antenna. It is 3D-printed and can be observed at the back end of the drone.
The antenna is at the end of the drone where the white fixture is visible.

Although the fixture remain intact, the antenna is destroyed after several hard impacts when the drone landing.
